Bio – Julie Carroll

After a short career in hospital management in Pittsburgh and a long career as an attorney in Washington, DC, Julie retired and moved to Florida in 2014.  She lives in sunny southwest Florida near the Gulf of Mexico, with her guide dog, Skye.  They walk to the bay, listen to LIVE music, and spend a lot of time outdoors imagining what all those critters are saying to each other.

She published her first children’s book in 2020.  More are in the works.

Mission Statement

“I formed SandCastle Creations, LLC, as a space to share my children’s books, pet projects, and Gulf Coast explorations.  Ultimately, my mission is to foster a celebration of the animal and plant life (real and imaginary) that make up our fragile ecosystem.”
